ppt not opening

a powerpoint presentation is opening in my office pc but is not opening at
home. I get a message that a part of the file is not missing.

At home, try going to the Help menu and choosing Check for Updates. There
is a good chance that you have not installed the latest service packs at
home. If that doesn't help, let us know and we'll try some other
possibilities.

How am to know about service packs. I have Windows xp and office 2003.
another PC in the office also displays the same message as my home pc." part
of the file is missing"

You can check which service pack is installed by going to Help > About
Microsoft Office Powerpoint

After Microsoft Powerpoint 2003 and the version number it should say SP2
(service pack 2) If it doesn't you should update by going to help > check for
updates

pic's unveiwable

I have an email with some pic's that I can't veiw, it downloads in powerpoint
but I can't open it something about a text converter any suggestions?
