PPT Slideshow Timing Problem

My PPT2003 slideshow is timed to finish exactly with music and it plays
perfectly (so far) when shown on computers with PPT2002 or 2003, but in PPT
2000 my 3 minute presentation takes about 20 seconds, and the music is just
getting started! Any suggestions on how to create a presentation that will
play with any PPT version? Thanks.
