Prefill contact Name

How do I get Outlook 200 to automatically prefill in
contacts by typing in a few characters of their name?

Upgrade to OL2002 or 2003 - autocomplete is not available in prior versions.

You need to post an accurate Outlook version. Autocompletion was not a
feature until 2002 and higher.

That's interesting because I have Outlook 2000 SP3 and it
does it for me when I click tab but I did not change
anything. On another computer that has Outlook 2000 SP3
it does not autocomplete so I know it's available, just
not sure where. Thanks for the responses. Sorry for the
blurb of Outlook 2000 - I left off one zero.

Outlook 2000 does not do autocomplete. What you are describing is
autoresolution. For autoresolution to work you must have "Automatic Name
Checking" enabled in Tools > Options > Preferences > E-mail Options and you
must have the Outlook Address Book Service installed and configured
correctly in your profile.
