Preventing flashing?

I have a VBA macro that automates a mail merge, and it works well except
that it's constantly refreshing the display, which is both annoying and
slow. Is there a way to tell Word to temporarily suspend its refresh until
the macro is done? This is on Word 2003. Thanks.

Hi DaveLovesTrains

When you begin:
Application.ScreenUpdating = False

When you end:
Application.ScreenUpdating = True

When you need to:
Application.ScreenRefresh

And, avoid moving the Selection: set a Range instead, and manipulate the
range.
