preview of slide design

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Using Office 2004 on iMac with 10.5.4.
Problem: In Powerpoint go to Format/Slide Design and a list of possible designs comes up. If you click on one it shows a little powerpoint icon. However, on a 10.4.x machine instead of the powerpoint icon it shows a preview of the design which makes it pretty quick and easy to pick the design you want.
Question: Anyone know how to turn on this feature in 10.5?

Hi Jim -

Do you have the formatting palette displayed? Graphic thumbnails of the
Design Templates appear in the Change Slides section of that palette - you
don't need to use the Format menu at all.

Slide Layouts & Slide Transitions are in that group as well.

If you don't have the palette displayed use View> Formatting Palette or
click the button just left of the Zoom Box on the Standard Toolbar.

Leopard is different from previous OS X versions in this regard. My *guess*
is that [eventually] Quick Look and/or Cover Flow will be integrated into
the Open/Save dialogs & their derivatives, but as yet that hasn't happened.

So are we saying that the preview feature in FORMAT SLIDE DESIGN menu is no longer functional in 10.5 OSX?
