preview off when read

in my Outlook2000, the message were shown with the subject in bold plus a
preview (is this the term in English? I have a german version), and after I
had read a new message, the message was displayed with the subject in
regular font and without a preview. I found this quite practical and liked
this feature. Where is this in Outlook 2003? It seems I can only set
preview on/off globally.

the three line preview? That's autopreview - look on the view menu. To set
it for all folders, follow the basic instructions at
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/grouping.htm but selecting autoprevew
instead - I think it's under other settings button.
