Preview panes

In preview pane mode, when the middle window (ie list of messages) is
horizontal, is it possible to keep the list of messages display to a single
line? I used to do this on outlook on pc but cant seem to figure out how to
do this on entourage.

No, the size of the individual messages in the center pane is not
customizable. Hopefully that will be implemented in a future version of
Entourage, because it's too large for my liking as well.
