i was charged to find out how much will cost to deploy
microsoft project to more than 100 users.somebody
mentioned we should get a "site" license for ms project.
any help where i should start? i checked microsoft's
website but i couldn't find exact pricing info by the
number of users.

Call them directly. They will either tell you or put you in touch with a
reseller.
