Print preview shows watermark + text. But only watermark prints,.

MS Word Challenged

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have a document with a watermark
and text in front of it. The print preview shows both nicely, the way it
should print, but when printing, the text does not print at all. The
watermark is very light, the text is black. I have sent watermark to back.
No luck. Any ideas?
