Printing a document with a background colour

I

IsobelH

I have a standard word 2003 document. It has been correctly set with a black
background and the text is in white or red font colours. When I view the
documnet in normal view it is as I expect it to be. If I view in print
preview or I print it the background reverts to white and some of the text
(not all) changes to black.

What am I missing - I am printing on a standard HP colour deskjet.
