Printing a range of pages problem

Word 2003 - I've been doing this for years without a problem. But, I showed one of our users how to just print a few pages out of a report. And, guess what? The whole report prints. Example: she wanted pages 1-7 of a 9 page report. We did a File, Print and stuck in 1-7 in the proper text box, click print. Voila - we get pages 1-9. The printer is a Canon color printer. but I print to it also and never had this problem. Oh, by the way, she had the same problem printing to the LaserJet 4. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If the document contains sections, you must specify the section number as
well

e.g. p1s1 - p7s1

THANK YOU for your help. My 51 section /80-page doc has been driving me nuts.
