Printing an e-mail results in very large fonts on paper

Hi All,

Because I used to use the Dutch spelling and had to turn that to English
because of the increasing font size in the mails I got back after a send -
reply - send, I am aware of the font problem in Entourage 12.

However, when today I printed an mail message (yeah, I know, it is not meant
to be printed) I got an amazingly large font on the paper.

Just to be sure:

Printing works fine in all other software, including Word and Excel
Weekly updates turned on
Clean install, imports only via exchange -> moves
Macbook Pro 2,5Ghz 4GB memory

I tried to set the
Entourage->Preferences->Fonts->Printed (yeah I see the ed)items change to 7
from 10 (Verdana)
but it does not change....

Anyone?

Thanks!

Ivar

I would just copy/paste it until a fix is released. We don't get a lot of
questions on printing emails and it's one of those features in Entourage
that's seems to be low on the list for improvements.

Yep, having the same problem. Sometimes you HAVE to take a hard copy of something with you. Hope this is solved soon:)

Send MSFT feedback.

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications.

I am having the same problem. HUGE font print out when printing email. No setting or preference makes a difference. Business people need to be able to print emails directly and not copy paste into a word document just to do what Outlook on a pc does straight away.

How can we encourage a fix to this issue?

Gee, I hope MS will do more than "consider" it. This would be a major
problem and one more reason not to upgrade. (In other words, it is costing
MS money.)

Ed,

Could not agree more. Although it is very good they are reading this forum
and considering, but I personally have not ever (ever) come across software
that would not print in any reasonable format, let alone from an experienced
software making company.

I sent feedback on this last week, but sometimes I see people complaining
about niche items when basic functionality is not even there. This whole
font idea they had is defunct, I would like to use the Dutch spelling check
but con not, because if I set the language to Dutch the fonts in mail will
become HUGE! I find such things hard to understand.....
