Printing Background in MS Office 2003

When printing background in both MS Word 2003 and MS Publisher 2003 (I am
running Windows XP Professional as an OP Sys) with 0 margins, I get about
1/8" white border around the 8.5" x 11" paper? Is there anything that can be
done to remove the border? I am using both an HP 2710 All in one and HP 7550
Photosmart

I don't know about Word, but I found early on Publisher will not print
borderless. Somehow the printer driver and Publisher are not on the same page.
My solution was to save the Publisher document as a hi-res image and print from
HP's software.
There are folks that do not have this issue and different printer models do okay
borderless within Office.
