printing booklet to networked printer

MSPublisher - 2000
printer - HP Color LJ4700dtn

Can print my booklet as 2 separate pages, but when I set it to print duplex,
the program insists it can't find the networked (new) printer and refuses to
print.

Any known HP driver conflict issues with Publisher?

I have two HP printers, no problem. It could be the way you have the printer
setup.

Is your driver current? There is a driver on the HP web site with a May 2007
timestamp, may be newer than what shipped with your printer. There is also an
universal PCL driver with a July 2007 timestamp. Some firmware there too.

Thanks, Mary. Actually, I solved my own problem (which frequently happens
right after I write to this group).

In the File/Print Setup dialog box, it was insufficient to simply select the
printer from the pull-down list.
I had to actually click the Network button, expand the MS Windows Network
list (which took forever), and select the printer from one of the print
servers listed THERE, before the software would register this selection and
obey my commands.

But it now works without a problem.
