Printing Large Banners

I have an HP2500CP Design Jet. I have selected the paper size from the printer to be 36"x72". When I try to print the banner (that is 36"x72") it shows it printing on two pages. I cannot make it print larger than 48". Does publisher not print anything larger than 48"? Help.

The printing page size limit was hard-coded at 48" to avoid crashes that
larger pages caused.
You can, however, design at 18" x 36" and use Zoom Smart or a PDF file to
scale up to the full paper size.
