Printing Linked Projects Through MS Web Access

Hello,
I'm trying to Print Grid in Project Center with projects that are
linked togather. I'm unable to get the views that I want. I have a
master schedule and I have inserted sub projects into this master
schedule and now i would like to view the task under those
subprojects for a specific view. I need to be able to view the
subprojects and am unable to do so. Is there a way to print this
master schedule with all of it's sub projects even though they are
linked without breaking the link? I'm also only looking for specific
information within these sub projects and only want to print/export
those items. I'm using MS Project Server 2003 (11.2.2005.1801.15) SP2

Thanks,
Steve

In the Project Center page in Project Server 2003, when you click the name
of a master project, the system displays only the titles of the subprojects,
but does not display the tasks in each subproject. Therefore, you cannot
print your master project through PWA. Instead, you must do that within the
Microsoft Project Professional 2003 client. Hope this helps.

Thank you Dale,
I did print/export the data from Project Professional 2003, but when I do
that it gives me a ton of data that I don't want and I have to sift through.
Since I inserted projects into my master plan I have tried to redo my master
plan so I can get my correct information. But now, I can only Cut and Paste
Special (Becuase I want the master linked for high level information) I get
an "OEL Paste Operation Cannot Be Completed, The Data Is not Valid" Message.
How do I solve this problem. Thanks for clarifying my earlier question!!

Why don't you create a custom View and Table that displays exactly the
information you seek? That would be simpler than what you are trying to do.
Hope this helps.

Dale,
Thanks, that gives the view that I want but when I export it to excel it
gives me all unwanted information. I must be doing something worng. I will
keep working at it.

Thanks,

How are you exporting it? What steps are you following? Let us know.
Also, remember that the Table determines what columns you see in the View.

Hi Dale,
I'm doing a file save as, Project name .xls and then setting up the colums
in the mapping wizard. I'm filtering what I want but it exports the whole
project and not the selected information that I want.

Dale,
the filter that I'm using is actually a MS Project Filter. It's the
Summary Task Filter and it gives me just what i want and how I need the
information. But when I export it, it gives me the whole project.

When you export the master project to Excel, select the New Map option and
then work through the Export Wizard step by step. When you get to the Task
Mapping page, click the "Export Filter" pick list in the upper right corner
of the dialog and select the Summary Tasks filter. Choose the fields you
wish to export in the data grid as well. When you get to the last page,
click the Save Map button and then name and save your Map for future use.
Hope this helps.

Dale,
Thanks, I followed your instructions exactly and attempted it 3 times.
Each time I got the same result. I'm guessing becuase the informtion is
linked it won't export the specific summary task the way I want it. I'm
guessing it's a defect with MS Project or the export wizard. I feel that I
should be able to do this even though the task are linked. Thank you very
much for all your help!! I have to figure out another way to do this I guess.
