Printing picture in rows

Matt

Several documents that users are trying to print from Word 2003 have our
company logo at the bottom of the page. In word, there is only one picture
of the logo at the bottom of the page, but it prints multiple times in rows
(one underneath the other over and over again about four times), and it also
"smashes" the image to fit four on the page. Any suggestions on what is
causing this? Could it be a setting somewhere? Like I said, Word only shows
one graphic at the bottom of the page. If it helps, I am printing to a
Xerox Phaser6200 Color Laser Printer.

Sometimes this problem can be fixed by turning off background printing in
Word (Tools | Options | Print | uncheck the "Background printing" box), or by
turning off print spooling and/or advanced text services in your printer
driver (Start | Control Panel | Printers | <right-click on your printer> |
Properties | Advanced).

Could it be damage in the graphic? Test print another graphic, and see
if the same thing happens.
Also, you could check for damage in the document.
Copy the graphic into a new document and print, see what it does.
Then copy the text over as follows: (to leave any possible damage
behind)
Edit>Select All
While holding down the Shift key, tap the LET-POINTING arrow just
ONCE. This should take the view to the last character in the document.
[DESELECTS THE LAST PARAGRAPH MARK WHERE THE DAMAGE LIKES TO HIDE]
Edit>Copy or Ctrl + C
Go to new document with graphic in it. Edit>Paste or Ctrl + V
THis may change the formatting, which will have to be redone, but give
it a try. Test the document's printing.

See what happens?
