Printing postcards with a Mail merge

M

Misty

When printing, I can't get my merge to print correctly. One side is an
informational side, the other is a is the address side which I have done a
mail merge. I can not get it to print a different address on each postcard.
It wants to print 1 of 2 ways: The front and back of the post card on one
side or the fronts on one side and 2 of the same address on the reverse side.

The only way that I seem to be able to get it print correctly is by having a
separate document for the address side. Which defeats the ability to duplex
this document.

Is there something that I am not doing?

Thanks

Publisher 2007?

Are you selecting *Multiple pages per sheet* on the print merge screen?

If you are using 2003 all the addresses the same on each card in print preview
is a Publisher bug.

I have tried the multiplepages per sheet and multiple copies and neither
works. I am using 2007.

When you look at print preview, it will show the informational text on the left
and the address on the right.
Using a duplex unit this will print correctly

You can only have one card on the screen for a merge to work. Insert a page for
page two (the merge page).

I'm having this same problem today and wondered if there was a fix for it...

My previous version (2003) would allow a mail merge with a two page post
card, so
it does not make sense that the new version wouldn't allow it...

Frustrating!!!

Another poster gave this solution and it does work.
When you are ready to print, in the Print Merge dialogue, be certain to select
multiple pages per page and in the 2-sided printing options---select *Two-sided,
flip short side.*
