Printing slides in PowerPoint2000 created in 2002

My office has computers with Office XP and Office 2000. A
presentation created in Office XP, saved as a 2000 file,
opens fine in Office 2000 and looks fine on screen.
However, when trying to print any format (slides,
handouts, etc), the text runs off the screen, loses
justification and spacing, as well as font size. File
prints fine from any XP computer, but same problem exists
from all 2000 computers.

Kathy,

This sounds like a "font" problem.

If a font exists in your presentation that is not on your 2000 computers
then you could experience what you have explained.

You need to make sure that the fonts used are available on all computers.

Also double check it's a "true type" font and not just a "printer only"
font. All truetype fonts display a little TT symbol on the font list in
powerpoint

This is most likely because you don't have the needed font(s) installed on
all systems. PowerPoint will substitute the best "look alike" it can find,
but the spacing and size will most likely change. It is possible to embed
fonts in the presentation to prevent this problem, but it is better to use
common fonts that are installed on all systems. See the following:
