Printing task colums in each page of gantt chart

GoingNutz

How can I print the first 3 columns (Task name, finish date, and resource
name) on every page of the gantt chart?
Thanks

Hi GoingNutz,

Did you try File > Page Setup > View tab and enabling the check next to
"Print first 3 columns on all pages"?

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi JulieS,
Thanks for your suggestion but I've tried that before and it doesn't work.
If you have any other ideas, I would welcome them.
Thanks,

Hi Nutz,

Okay, can you tell us a bit more about what didn't work?
When you print previewed the Gantt chart what did you see?
When you printed the Gantt chart what did you see?

Project is quite "picky" about printer drivers as well. You may like to
see some additional guidance about printing in MS Project from FAQ 44
"Printing Problems" at:

Hi JulieS,
I did as you suggested and when I did print preview, it showed the columns
on the first printed page but not the other print pages. Same when I
printed. It printed the first page with the columns and the other pages with
only the gantt chart and not the columns.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Nutz,

You're welcome for the assistance thus far.

Hmm, if it doesn't show in Print preview, it certainly won't print so
there is something else going on.

What version of Project are you using?
Do you have the most current printer drivers installed?
What make/model printer are you using?
Do you have another printer available that you can connect to and check
print preview?

There may be issues with specific printers that we can get some more
information from a web search on. (I didn't see anything new in a brief
search earlier.)

I am unable to reproduce the problem you report in either Project 2003
and Project 2007. When I turn on the option "Print first 3 pages..." it
works without issue.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

You're most welcome, Nutz and thanks for the feedback.

Just out of curiousity, what was the fix? It's just helpful for us to
know in case we get a post similiar to yours in the future.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
