Prints grey

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I am just using Excel for Mac 2008 for first time (had old version). It prints grey instead of black. Printer cartridge is new, and it works fine in Word??

Suggestions? I changed the color to black etc.

The "colour" of black in Excel must be "Automatic" not "black" with some
colour printers.

If you specify "Automatic" the printer interprets that as "Black ink".

If you specify "Black" the printer sees that as "Very dark" and prints it by
mixing all three colours to produce a muddy grey.

Hope this helps
