I'm having issues with my db which was created in ACT 9.
Not only did the date change for contact history, only the headers for SOME
of the contacts came over....others - the full message are there - no rhyme
or reason. It makes no sense to me. These emails are specific to the user
so they should be able to see all details (which is another bad issue I think
BCM needs to address in workgroups with an option to allow all content to be
seen). Plus, the dates need to be from created date, not import!
I might reimport the db from ACT (again for the 5th time) - any suggestions
on the right way to do this would be appreciated.
I'm having other issues too -
1. Search is not working well. If you type in any name to search for, the
file you are looking for is not there. If you search by account - it comes
up as a linked contact. I'm in the top view with no filters. Tried this
many ways and it is not effective.
2. Mailing labels for one contact? Too difficult - cannot even copy over
info to print one label? Needs to be added.
3. Some contacts are MIA - I'm going to try and reimport from ACT again -
but I'm really, really scared to do this.
4. To-do's were not imported correctly. I have tons of them, but they did
not link to the record. So now I have a ton of to-do's and no idea of who
they go to!!!!
5. Make the list window editable (like ACT) to change from that screen
instead of going to each individual record. For example, you could change a
group of zip codes or phone numbers by clicking in the field and make changes
from there. It would be really great if you wanted to assign large groups of
contacts to a specific account!!!!
When is the next version coming out, Microsoft? We need these issues
addressed. I don't want to go back to ACT, but I'm starting to see no other
option!!!!!
