Problem connecting to PServer throw PProfessional

Hello all,
I am having some difficulties connecting to the
Project Server through Project Professional 2002.
At first, every time I tried to connect I would get
a "SQL SERVER" error prompting that the "Connection
Timeout expired". I solved this problem downloading a new
version of Windows MDAC.
But now, every time I try to connect, it doesn't show
me the timeout dialog anymore it shows a connection error
to the SQL SERVER, and seems like its pointing to the
wrong instance of SQL SERVER. After a select the right
server and press OK a couple times it works. This happens
every time Project Professional needs to communicate with
the server.

Does anybody have any idea of what might be going on?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Gary,
I am using a PS account. But works both ways when I use
the web access.
I found out what my problem was, but I still have some
problems with my SQL Server communication. For some reason
every time I try to log in to Project Professional, I type
in the PS user and password and it seems to be fine so
far. But when I try to open a remote project from the
server, it prompts an error dialog (Invalid user) and
shows me a SQL Connection dialog. It is always pointing
to "localhost" instead of the right server, so I have to
select the right one and retype the password too. After I
do this procedure, it connects fine. It seems like the
connection configuration is not being "saved" by the
Project Professional.

Would you have any idea how I can configure this and
save this information in order to be the default
connection parameters?

Thanks a lot
Clóvis
