Problem displaying Excel table in Notes in MS Project Professional 2003

Hi,

I need to display an Excel table in a task Note in MS Project
Professional 2003 (the stand-alone version).

Currently it is too wide to see a portion of the righthand side in
Notes. I can't find anyway to wrap it, shrink it, or scroll
horizontally so I can see the entire table.

Any suggestions?

Interestingly, it displays just fine in MS Project Pro 2000. It looks
like it's simply sized to fit.

TIA for your help,

Hi Lynn,

Are you copying and pasting the excel data, or inserting as an object?
If you insert as object, you can resize the object by grabbing the
sizing handles around the edge. That shrinks the size of the text as
well.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Julie,

Mea culpa, I should have said yes I tried inserting as an object. It
does resize but the font is so small that it may be difficult for my
client to read. He's the one who'd like to copy and paste the table in
and I'm trying to make it as simple as possible for him. Inserting an
object might be a little daunting for him but I'll ask him to give it
a go and see what he thinks.

Thanks for your suggestion.

You're welcome Lynn and thanks for the feedback.

As far as copying and pasting, you are limited in by the lack of a
horizontal scroll bar in the notes dialog box.

If the client can work with an inserted object he/she can also double
click the object and run Excel (or whatever source program) and then be
able to see the data full size.
