problem editing linked files

Hi

I linked two word documents.

When i edit the linked file, source file is modified

I want to edit the linked document without editing the
source file.


Please help

Hi Manisha,

The idea behind linking is to enable you to keep things synchronised by both
files being updated. If you don't want that to happen, you should use the
IncludeText field or, select the linked file in the document and use
Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink the field.
