Problem getting trial activation product key

When I try to get an activation key from my desktop, I get an error message
that says it can't find office on my computer when I'm looking right at it.
Then if I try to go online to get one, and I click on student and home
version it continues to load the same page over and over.
Ultimately, I will want to download and purchase the full version but I'm
having trouble getting that to work.
Please help!!!

Don't bother purchasing at MS on line, visit Amazon.com and order it there,
it'll be cheaper
Uninstall any trial prior to installing via a cd
