Problem installing Office 2000 Professional

Barry

I previously installed Office 2000 Prof on computer with no problem. Due to
computer problems I had to install system recovery disks. Then when I tried
to re-install Ofc with disk 1 in the tray of the drive I got the message that
there is no disk in the tray. Why is the disk not recognized as being in the
tray & how can I run the installation. Thanks for your help.

Thanks DL. Yes other CDs open normally only had problem with Office Disk 1 &
Click to DVD not opening. I tested Office disk #2 & it opened. Someone
mentioned that I may have installed the program more than 3 times which may
be the problem. Microsoft support said that a message would appear saying
that if it was the case. I did notice that the disk had a couple of scratches

I would try disk 1 on a different system and see if it can be read.
If the disk is bad then your out of luck as production of the office 2000
media has been discontinued.
