Problem installing Office 2000 Professional

C

Can-So

I would try disk 1 on a different system and see if it can be read.
If the disk is bad then your out of luck as production of the office 2000
media has been discontinued.

Thanks Can-So. Disk 1 does not work on other computers. I have office
installed on an old computer that I only use to run an old DOS program. Is
there a way to remove it from the old computer & install it on my new one?
Also do you know anything about Open Office supposedly it's compatible with
MS Office?
Thanks.

Open Office has most of the abilities of Office except for the collaboration
ability and email/PIM. If you are using this for home use, it is probably
adequate. I haven't tried the latest version but others work well enough
for simple tasks.
