problem printing date and other macros on word templates

Hi,

I have a fax cover template on word, which displays the date correctly on
the screen, however when I preview the document or print it, the date no
longer appears. Instead in it place I get {DATE\*MERGEFORMAT}

Can anyone help?

Go to Tools > Options > Print and uncheck the box for "Field codes".

On the Print tab of Tools | Options, clear the check box for "Field codes."
