Problem reinstalling Office 2003 pro?

I had to re-format the hard drive containing Microsoft Office 2003 Pro. I did
not uninstall before doing this. I now cannot re-install as the installation
process aborts prior to writing any information. It says it is preparing to
install and backs out at that time. Any one with any info would be most
apprciated. Thanks

What's the error message?
Unless it's an upgrade version or an OEM recovery disk, it should just
install.

There is no error message. It simply backs out. That is the scripting shown
when the process is aborted. It says it is backing out. An error report is
generated and sent to Microsoft.
