We are running Outlook2003. We have exchange server as a local email server,
and also have an internet account installed under outlook2003. The internet
has higher priority than exchange for sending mail. When we send mail to the
internet it works. When we send mail to local exchange users it also works.
However, when forwarding an internal mail message to an external internet
address, outlook insists on going through exchange rather than through the
external mail service, and the message bounces in exchange.
How can we tell outlook to send this message out via the internet and not to
use exchange? Since the internet is higher priority than exchange we expect
this to work but it does not.
We also have machines running outlook 97 and they have no problem with this.
