Problem setting up powerpoint.

I bought the computer with Office 2003 Basic Edition on hard drive. I bought
the PowerPoint 2003 disc and the Setup Wizard can't find Office on my hard
drive. It also doesn't recognize my Office disc.

Did you buy PowrPoint or the PowerPoint upgrade? If you accidentally bought
the upgrade and not the full program, you probably can't use it.

If you bought the PowerPoint 2003 Upgrade, it is only good with Office 97, 2000,
or 2002, or the
standalone versions of PowerPoint 97, 2000, or 2002. You might be able to
purchase a copy of Office 2002 or 2000 on eBay. You wouldn't need to install
the older version. You would just insert the CD at the right time to satisfy
the need for a qualifying product.
