Printing to PDF file fails and I receive the following error from the
Distiller:

-----------------QUOTE----------------------------------
PDF/X Compliance Report

1. Color

[Violation] The non-calibrated colorspace RGB was found on the following
pages:
Page 1, Occurrences: 30

Colorimetrically-defined data shall be described either using a profile
in an ICCBased color space or using an equivalent mechanism, namely a
CalGray, CalRGB, or Lab color space.

Violations: The total found in this section was 30.

2. Summary

Warnings: The total found in this document was 0.
Violations: The total found in this document was 30.
The number of color problems found in this document was 30.

This document does not pass PDF/X-3:2002 compliance checks.
------------------UNQUOTE-----------------------------

My publication is checked by Design Checker and it is ready for commercial
printing. All colors are defined as process colors plus spot colors.

Please help.

In fact PDF/X compliance is not the major issue I believe. I tried to print
in Standard settings of Distiller and following is the error message:

----------------------QUOTE----------------------------------
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: setdistillerparams; ErrorInfo:
CalCMYKProfile U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
Error accessing color profile: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
---------------------UNQUOTE---------------------------------

I cannot print to a PDF file in any of the Distiller settings. Don't you
think something should be fixed in the publication so that Distiller can
print to a PDF file? It seems there is a color issue that prevents Distiller
to print to PDF file.

Thanks

Error "...OffendingCommand: setdistillerparams..." or "Adobe PDF printer failed to
create..." when you create a PDF file

There is a download on the Adobe site for the above.

Maybe this article will help
