Problem with Automatically Recurring Calendar Appointments

I am having an issue with setting up calendar appointments. If set up a non
recurring appointment and go back into it later, it automatically makes it
recurring. I have to undo the recurring every time. It only happens if I go
back into it after I have created it...maybe to update the place or time.
Does anyone know if this Is this a feature I can fix?

Any help would be grateful.

I was haveing the same issue and it was resolved by removing a program that
came pre installed on my "DELL" computer, it may be worth the fee to contact
a Microsoft tech and have them let you know what program needs to be removed.
