The background shading of the Excel Worksheet changes from white to gray in
the body of the email and if forward the email with the gray background it
turns to black. How do I fix this?

The background was not shaded. The option was selected not to show
gridlines, so the background was originally solid white. There were are few
cells that were originally shaded gray. There were also some cell shaded in
different colors that didn't change. Maybe I should try shading the
background white and see if that works.

What color is the fill on those cells? Try no fill.
