Problem with Fonts/Styles in Text Boxes

When I type text directly in a text box, it appears in thestyle/font
I've selected. BUT, when I press Enter to start a new paragraph, the
style/font doesn't stay with the one used for the previous paragraph
but for some strange reason switches to an entirely different
style/font. This has happened in several text boxes, and it also
happens if I select all the text in the box, format it, and then type
new paragraphs. I can work around it by manually changing the
style/font of each paragraph, but this is really a nuisance. I am
using Publisher 2002 with Windows XP, and I didn't have this problem
with an earlier version of Publisher and Windows 95. Any ideas?
