Problem with Labels - Inserted graphics moves slightly

I am using a standard Avery template in Word 2007. I have inserted a jpg
file that was created to the exact dimensions of my round label. When I get
it looking exactly right and save (or print, etc), it moves each jpg
slightly. Then all the jpgs become very slightly offset which of course
causes the labels to print off. Since they are round labels, this causes a
big issue and they look awful.

If you print on plain paper, is the alignment correct? Many printers are
unable to accurately handle the label feedstock. Also make sure that the
default paper size for your printer (click on the Printer Properties button
in the File>Print dialog) is the same as for the label stock and that the No
Scaling option is selected in the Scale to paper size drop down in the Zoom
section of the File Print dialog.

Doug,

Thank you for your suggestions. I did check those settings and they are set
as you suggested.

Unfortunately, the problem is occurring before printing is even brought into
the picture. Also, I am having this problem with two different avery label
templates in word 2007 on two different printers (Canon MP530 and a Konica
Color Laser). The jpg images slightly adjust on the screen and will not stay
in the place I put them even if I put on Anchor Lock (or whatever it is). So
I will have the whole page setup and then slightly adjust the last image (or
save or another action) and they all move 1mm. I think it has to do with
positioning and text wrapping but obviously I don't know the correct setting.
There is no text on the label, just an image file.

Hi Parker,
Doug is right on with everything he said, unfortunately the reality is
that laser and inkjet printing is not an exact science. Our customers
at http://www.onlinelabels.com run into this problem occasionally when
they try to print to close to the edge of the label, or try to use a
background color. If you cannot get MS Word to work for you, then I
suggest trying our Maestro Label Designer http://www.onlinelabels.com/maestro
.. Maestro will give you the flexibility you need to move text and
images on the template freely. It should take a couple of test prints
and a little bit of tweaking.
