Problem with lookup tables in Ent Outline Codes

G

Gary Johnson

Hello,

These are the steps I've followed to create lookup tables;

1) Tools, Options, Open Enterprise Global

2) Tools, Costomize, Enterprise Fields

From here I've selected the chosen custom outline code, renamed it, defined the code mask, then selected edit lookup table where I've entered the choices I want available in the drop down list. I have done this for two categories. I have three such custom outline codes for resources, all sharing a single lookup table. These are functioning properly within the enterprise resource pool still despite the current problems. I have another such custom outline code associated with tasks. This was created in the same way and worked as intended. We currently have no active projects on the server and no live data populating this field. I revisited the lookup table recently and took out the data I had entered in preparation for replacing it with a revised lookup table. Since that action all look-up tables, including those assoctaed with resources (which still function properly within the enterprise resource pool) appear blank when accessed as above. If I try to type anything into the look-up tables the program says it has encountered an error and needs to close. The program then shuts down and leaves the enterprise global checked out.

Can anyone shed any light on whats wrong or how I solve it please ?

Thanks

Gary

Gary:

Are you certain that you're trying to edit the lookup table that all the fields are linked to?
Are you certain that you're opening the enterprise global before editing these enterprise fields?

Hi Gary,

I am definitely opening the Ent Global - and I am pretty sure that I am editing the right lookup tables.

Anything else I might look for ?

Thanks

Gary

Without hands on the server, it's difficult to say. If no one else jumps in, I'd suggest a support call.
