I have one system on a network of three systems that has suddenly developed a
problem with all office programs. It's a Win2000 all SP's and latest updates.
When opening an existing file and then trying to Save As a different file
name to a network drive it comes up with the error that the drive is not
accessable or is password protected. The file can however be opened and saved
normally. It can also be opened file name changed and saved with other
programs such as notepad or anything else I tried, only office products have
lost their mind. I tried uninstall/reinstall with no change. I tired
remapping drives, connecting using unc path no luck, flushed dns even changed
ports on the switch. The files reside on a Win95 machine that does nothing
but share files. The other user machine, also Win2k, has no such problem.
