On a Windows XP PC using network printers, I open MS Office 2002 Word or
Excel and print a document. It prints fine to the default printer. If I
then change the printer in properties to another network printer it prints
fine but all documents in Word or Excel are set to print to that printer now.
When I close Word or Excel and then reopen them the printer remains set to
the 2nd printer. It does not revert back to the default printer.
On a Windows 2000 PC if I change to a different networked printer, all
documents change to that printer but once Word or Excel is closed and then
reopened, the default printer returns.
Any ideas or is this how XP is supposed to work.
