Over the past few days, Access 2007 has stopped letting me open a new blank
database with the button on the Start page. Also the featured templates are
missing and most of the Office button menu items are greyed out . I can click
the "New" button in the menu, but nothing happens. The only buttons that
seem to work are the "Open" and "Manage" buttons.
To open a new blank database, I have to open an existing one, and proceed
from there.
I have run the diagnostic tool but it said no problem was found.
I have gone into the Add/Remove Program utility, and tried a repair from
there, with no success. I have carried out a procedure I found in the
knowledge base, with no success.
Has anybody else come across this problem, and how did they resolve it?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
