Problems between Office XP 2003 and Works

I have a new HP Pavilion 720n with 60 days trial Office Xp Standard and
Works. Works is fine for me, so I removed the Office XP. For some reason,
that killed Works Word, so I used the system utility to reistore Office XP --
that fixed WORKS WORD ok, but the restore was not complete and now i get
repeated messages from Office XP that it is trying to complete the
installation and can't find SKU112.CAB. I don't have a disc for Office and
I've already tried reinstalling WORKS from its disc.

You will need to contact HP. They will have a method of restoring the files.
This isn't something MS can assist you with as it's peculiar to your system.
I'm also surprised it shipped with an Office XP trial as HP is advertising
an Office 2003 trial with all new systems.

OEM software is the responsibility of the vendor and/or manufacturer (the
same thing in your case).
