Problems connecting to Exchange

I have a home connection going through a Netgear ADSL Router. I can connect
to my corporate inbox and view message, reply to message, forward message,
but have trouble sending a new message or saving it into the drafts folder.
The message is "network problems are preventing connection to the microsoft
exchange server computer"

Details:

Exchange 2000 latest Service Pack
Windows Server 2000 SP4
Outlook 2000 latest service pack
Windows 2000 SP4

Anyone know an answer?
