Problems e-mailing form results

C

CW

Iam running FP2000 on Windows Professional. I am trying to
e-mail my form results to a specified e-mail address(my
own). I am running the app from my local server
(http://home/webpage).

Is there something outside of FP that needs to be changed
so that the e-mail starts to work? In IIS?

You need to be running local SMTP mail server software (and have the FP SE set up to recognized the mail server - email transport
enabled) for Emails to work locally

Hi,
presumably you just want to test your form out before you go into
production? If you so try this -
Open IIS - Right Click Default Web Site - Options Specify How Mail is Sent
under SMTP Mail Server put in your ISPs mail server, eg mail.yourisp.com
fill in the other fields to suit.

Can't promise this will work - depends how your isp authenticates mail - but
it should do.

You are correct in that I just want to test out my form. I
checked in IIS and my right click on the default web site
does not have Options,Security as you suggested below. I
am running windows 2k professional with fp2k.

I think that I've had this problem before about a year and
a half ago. I just can't remember where to fix it in IIS.
