Problems seeing Resource in Web UI

T

Tim Shelley

Hi all,

In the Web Client when I select Resources, the Resouce
Center does not show any of the Enterprise Resources i
know I have entered.

Would anyone know why I cannot see the Enterprise
Resources through the Web Client? All I see is the
following message:

There are no resources to display in this view.

You either do not have permissions to see any resources in
this view or there are currently no resources in the
Microsoft Project Server database. Contact your server
administrator.

I have used the admin account to see so I should have
enough priveleges to see them. In MS Project Professional
I can see these Enterprise resources and assign them to
tasks in the project. So I believe they are in the MS
Project Server database.

Thanks in advance.

Tim Shelley.

If your security setting doesn't allow you to create accounts from Microsoft
Project, the resources won't get a account on the server.

In PWA, choose Admin -> Manage organization and remove "deny" and enable
"allow" in the proper row (i.e. Create accounts from Microsoft Project).

This should do the trick when updating the resource pool.

Good luck
Kasper

Tim:

It sounds as though you've encountered a publishing problem. Are there any
errors in the application log on the server?
