Problems with extensions in Visual Studio

Hello All,

I have been having the following problem with Visual
Studio, which is related to the FrontPage Server
extensions. When I try to open a web project or start a
new one for that matter, I get the following message from
Visual Studio:

Cannot find the components for communicating with the
FrontPage server extensions

I have tried uninstalling everything including Visual
Studio 2003, IIS, .NET Framework, to no avail. I have
tried using both the FP extensions that come with IIS in
Windows XP as well as the FP ent. 2002. Nothing seems to
work.

At this point, I am left with the only option of having
to completely format my system and start from scratch,
which I obviously dread doing. I am trying to exhaust
all other measures first.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the VS NG?

Dennis,

You might start with reinstalling the Windows Component Update CD. That's
where the FrontPage client component is located.
