Problems with Office 2000 on Windows XP

C

Chuck

I am having problems keeping several linked excel spreadsheets open on my
Windows XP Pro workstation on our Windows 2003 Enterprise Server Network.
It seems that if I try to "Save As" one of the Excel spreasheets, it locks
up our entire network for up to 3 or 4 minutes while it works through
whatever it does, and then everything goes back to working normally.
Everyone else on the network thinks their computer is locked up and starts
rebooting their computers. If I access the server, it is functioning
normally with no error messages. Each computer on our network (about 15) is
connected to our server through a 100BaseTX switch with a 1000BaseTX
connection to the server.

Right now, I have no idea what is happening, but it can be reproduced. Any
ideas?

Thanks

Can it be reproduced 100% if this is tried on another computer?
