Problems with word in outlook 2002, interface not registered?

I have been using outlook 2002 (as part of an OEM) for a while now without
much problems. However in the last few days each time I finishing composing
a new email with word and then go to send I get a message telling me that the
interface is not registered. I can use word without getting the interface
message by first opening one new message box (but not typing in it at all)
then open a second box and typing the message in this box, when I go to send
the message in this second box it will go through without the error message.
I have all the recent updates and have Norton Utilites as my virus software.
Anyone else have this problem?
thanks,
Lorne
