Problems With Word

I have a Word 97 and just upgraded to Word 2003. In my old wordwhen I open
it up I don't get the blank page, I get a page of old work that I did awhile
ago. I can't get rid of this. When I upgraded this same page occurred and
wonder how I can fix this.
