At the worst, try all 62 possible options. You can narrow that down by
careful examination. But I must admit, this is the first time I've seen
this scam.

Neither. It's much larger number. Using the letter "A" in the first
position, there are 36 possible combinations using one of the letters
or numerals in the second position.

36x36 (1296) would seem to cover it.

Don,

To be honest, I never paid any attention. If MS doesn't then it would be
36, as someone else stated.
